Biotin-  

Biotin is a B vitamin that is an essential nutrient, most often found naturally in food. You get it from eggs, salmon, cauliflower, avocado and cucumber. Its function in the body is to support our metabolisation of carbohydrate, protein and fat. 

This ability to support protein strengthens Keratin (a tough protein that hair is made off), by helping to support and strengthening the core protein within hair, Biotin stop the hair loss process and bolsters the protein within each strand, allowing hair to look thicker and fuller.

Saw Palmetto- 

Saw palmetto is a type of palm native to the southeastern United States. The berries of the plant are commonly used to improve prostate health, balance hormone levels, and prevent hair loss in men. 

Saw palmetto helps block the activity of 5-alpha reductase (5α-R), an enzyme that converts testosterone into a hormone linked to hair loss called dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

It also prevents hair loss by reducing the uptake of DHT in the hair follicles, which decreases its ability to bind to specific hormone receptors.

One study, Saw Palmetto was effective at improving hair growth in 60% of men with male pattern baldness between the ages of 23 and 64

Folic Acid-

Folic Acid helps in metabolising protein, fat, and carbohydrates. It helps to cater to the absorption of different nutrients within the human body. In this way, the hair follicles receive their required nutrition from the consumed foods.

The deficiency of Folic Acid may cause premature greying, as Folic Acid speeds up cell division, it can help reduce greying and boost hair growth.

Vitamin A-

All cells need vitamin A for growth. This includes hair, the fastest growing tissue in the human body.

Vitamin A also helps skin glands make an oily substance called sebum. Sebum moisturises the scalp and helps keep hair healthy.

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble, essential nutrient with anti-inflammatory properties is often described as a 'workhorse vitamin'. It is antioxidant, known more widely for fighting off free-radicals on the skin which are a result of daily environmental stressors like unprotected sun exposure and air pollution.

However, Vitamin E is also very good for hair, in one study, people with hair loss experienced a 34.5% increase in hair growth after supplementing with only Vitamin E for 8 months
