Skin supplement Ingredients

TenT's [SKIN-supplement] is made up from strong Marine Type 1 Collagen, Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E and Vitamin C.

Marine Type 1 Collagen-

As we age our skin changes and we lose collagen.

  • 1.5% less collagen is produced each year after the age of 20
  • 25% less collagen produced each year after the age of 40
  • 50% less collagen produced each year after the age of 60.

This loss of collagen results in our skin becoming thinner and more fragile. A similar decline in the production of Hyaluronic Acid adds to the effect on our appearance.

50% of collagen is made up from 3 amino acids - glycine, proline and hyrdoxyoproline. It is shown that Marine collagen peptides have the highest percentage of each then any other collagen source and is shown to be the most effective collagen type in fighting wrinkles and the signs of ageing.

Collagen has also been shown to potentially help with the following issues

  • Relieve joint pain
  • Prevent bone loss
  • Boost muscle mass
  • Promote heart health

Hyaluronic acid-

Hyaluronic Acid helps reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles retaining moisture to the skin, creating a plumping effect. When the skin is protected and hydrated, increased skin cell production can take place, as the skin isn't busy fighting for hydration.

Hyaluronic Acid is a protein found naturally in the body, particularly in the joints as a component of Synovial Fluid (a lubricant that reduces friction) and in the collagen network responsible for maintaining the structure of the skin.

Hyaluronic Acid is known to hold up to 1000 times it's weight in water, and as we age it degenerates, leaving us with aching stiff joints and a dried out skin structure that beneath the surface is damaged and on the surface is visible as wrinkles.

Vitamin E-

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble, essential nutrient with anti-inflammatory properties is often described as a 'workhorse vitamin'. It is antioxidant, fighting off free-radicals on the skin which are a result of daily environmental stressors like unprotected sun exposure and air pollution. In fighting off free radicals, vitamin E helps protect the skin from damage.

The core reason for TenT including Vitamin E is because of its ability to fight UV damage. When Vitamin E is combined with Vitamin C, it helps to reduce the formation of sunburn cells.

Vitamin C-

Vitamin C is considered one of the most important antioxidants for our skin, as it helps the healing and improvement of the wounds produced by free radicals and exposure to the sun.

Vitamin C may help fend off the signs of ageing because of its vital role in the body’s natural collagen synthesis.
